Forest Lake College’s extraordinary music program gives all students from Prep onwards the opportunity to learn to play a musical instrument as part of the College curriculum.
All students learn the violin in Years 3 and 4. From Year 5 to Year 8 students may continue with violin or choose instruction from String, Brass, Percussion or Woodwind lessons from specialist music teachers during class time.
In addition, there is a wide range of co-curricular musical opportunities in which to participate as part of College ensembles, choirs and the College Musical held every second year.
Keeping with the philosophy of full participation, a range of auditioned and non-auditioned groups is offered. We encourage full participation and offer a range of auditional and non-auditional musical groups.
Additional private tuition outside College hours is available for instrumental, music and voice.
